Leader... SHIP?

I have a quirky sense of humor, and love the show "The Office." The boss, Michael Scott, leaves much to be desired of a leader. I don't think he could ever allow himself to think of servant leadership. He is the type of leader that wants and thrives off of POWER. I just love his staffs' way of stearing the ship off course. Enjoy the laugh!

Dialogue?

When I wrote my very first blog back in March, I really didn't know that there was a difference between dialogue and discussion. This strikes me as funny, because somehow I did choose the correct word of dialogue. That is really what I hope for my blog. I have no ulterior motive, I'm not trying to draft teachers. I'm trying to share my experiences as a teacher and also just talk about our experiences.

I started a 2-year leadership program this last weekend, and I can't wait for our next meeting. I think it's fairly sad that in my 27 years, and my five years of teaching I don't think I have really truly self-reflected as much as I should. I've written many reflection papers, and I have responded to lesson plans, I have even kept notes and logged comments, etc. But I haven't done personal self-reflection in too long! It's always for assignments or really for someone else to read. I think this program will allow to be really look at my own teaching, leading, values, goals, etc. I can't wait to go back.
